ADU Contractors List
Southern California

This list is growing. It takes some time to look up and go through contractors. It will take even more time to talk with them. It is not as easy as it used to be when there were Yellow Pages. At this time I am listing ADU builder. I plan on having more information on each one over time.

Vision ADU
https://visionadu.com/
(866) 668-4264
1440 S State College Blvd, 6H, Anaheim, CA 92806
Barak is the VP of Construction. It is interesting that they are working out of this location. I have been to contractor meetings at one of their neighbor’s stores in the past. After I called this company, a real person called me back straight away.

Buildoly
https://www.buildoly.com/
(213) 645-2338
Their website says they are headquartered in Los Angeles and they are licensed as a general contractor in California (CSLB #1134744).
No address given on website. When calling you get an AI voice mail.

Horizon Construction & Remodeling
https://horizonremodelinginc.com/
(714) 449-9035
614 S Euclid St., Fullerton, CA 92832
This is a general contractor, but they do have ADUs as one of their specialties. I have been trying to talk to their general manager but never seem able to reach them. You do get a real person answering the phones at this company.

American Dream Design & Construction Inc
https://americanddc.com/
(562) 824-9319
They have a traditional voice mail.
General contractor and ADUs

The ADU Group
https://adugroupla.com/
(818) 654-4755
16000 Ventura Blvd #1080, Encino, CA 91436
Their about page has the generic and standard boiler plate copy, it doesn’t really say much about who is behind the company. However, they do have a real person answering the phones, which is always nice.

Pelican ADU Builders
https://pelicanadubuilders.com/
949-501-4750
Brian Tran is the Managing Partner. They also have a very good about page. They are local to Orange County, and they have an article on their site about navigating the complexities of building an ADU. From what I have seen local governments are not always easy to work with, although it’s better now than a few years ago. I called them to get some information and a real person answered, I am looking forward to hearing back from them.

Warren Development
https://warrendev.com/
(855) 505-1195
3435 Ocean Park Blvd #109, Santa Monica, CA 90405
The Co-Founder is Derek Davies, I always like to see the person behind the company. I did have trouble going to their site on a Chromebook, their website thought I was a robot. I almost did not list them. A real person answered the phone and was quite pleasant to talk with.

CB Remodels
https://cbremodels.com/
626-507-4630
440 E Huntington Dr #300, Arcadia, CA 91007
Gorge Chavez, owner of CB Remodels. He also has a short video on the about page.

Wellmade
https://www.wllmd.com/
(510) 606-1706
2371 Verna Ct. San Leandro, CA
They are not exactly local to Southern California, but their products are prefabricated. So it’s more a matter of installation. They make studio sheds and accessory dwelling units (ADUs). I always thought this was a great idea. Another live person answering the phone. They sound quite interesting and open to exploring sharing what they do.

Acton ADU
https://www.actonadu.com/
408-539-1908
I wasn’t going to list this one, because they are in the San Jose area. But after reading their about page, I thought they needed to be in the ADU list. They have the best about page I have seen so far for an ADU contractor. I think they may also do ADU talks and workshops in the local area.

Rocport Inc.
https://rocportinc.com/
562-947-5210
15059 E Imperial Hwy, La Mirada, CA 90638
They are a general contractor the person answering the phones said they also do ADUs. From their website it looks like they specialize in kitchens.

Custom ADU Builder
https://customadubuilder.com/
714-488-3160
Voice mail not set up yet 10/12/26
113 W Santa Fe Ave, Fullerton, CA 92832
Custom ADU Builder President
General Contractor License #1101360
It looks like they also own ADUs. The thing I don’t like about this website the big popup ad that pops up on each page as you explore the site.
This guy did call back but then hung up on me as I was going to tell him I added him to my ADU directory.

XactBuilt Construction Inc
https://xactbuilt.org/
562-318-9519
You are going to get an AI agent on the phone.
The website has basic information and does not tell who is behind the company.

Pro Builders Express
they have a fancy website, with mostly boiler plate info. When I called them twice, their phones weren’t working. That is the reason for not listing the website or phone number.

GreenTech Builders Inc
https://greentechbuildersinc.com/
no phone.
This is another site that uses an AI agent. I really don’t like these. I would rather leave a message. The recorded message says they share your phone conversation with third parties as of 10/12/26. This is a snapshot in time; it could change in the future.
Sol Feldon is the founder and CEO of GreenTech Builders Inc. It looks like they primarily work in the Los Angeles area. He did call back and was not that friendly.
